About the Experience
Situated right at the historic entrance of Areni village in Vayots Dzor, Hin Areni Winery is one of Armenia's most prominent state-of-the-art boutique wineries. Designed by renowned Italian winemaking consultant Mario Ercolino, Hin Areni combines cutting-edge European equipment with thousands of years of indigenous viticultural heritage. The winery features a striking modern tasting room and expansive outdoor terrace overlooking the rugged red rock canyons and vineyards of Areni. Guests enjoy guided cellar tours, wine tasting flights of Areni Noir, Voskehat, and Rosé, paired with local artisan goat cheeses, dried fruits, and hot tonir lavash.

History & Heritage
Founded by the Karapetyan family, Hin Areni Winery was built to revive and showcase the historic winemaking prestige of Areni village on an international scale. The winery's estate vineyards span high-altitude volcanic and limestone terraces situated 1,200 meters above sea level. Hin Areni focuses exclusively on indigenous ancient Armenian grape varieties: the noble red Areni Noir and the historic white Voskehat. Fermented under strict temperature control and aged in native Artsakh oak barrels, Hin Areni's reserve wines have won prestigious awards at international competitions including Decanter World Wine Awards and Mundus Vini.
